R66T TO COACHING COURSE CONTENT

The R66T To Coaching course has been designed to allow new coaches to gain a basic understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to effectively coach and manage a junior cricket team in a safe and fun way. The course covers basic drills and activities, the roles and responsibilities of a coach, creating safe, fun and engaging learning environments and some key tips that will assist you on your journey to providing positive experiences for your team and players.

This module will introduce the learner to and provide an overview of the R66T To Coaching course.

Roles and Responsibilities

This module will discuss all the necessary roles and responsibilities required to coach and manage a junior cricket team. The module is split into three topics; an introduction, responsibilities for practical coaching and implementing safe, fun and engaging coaching.

Coaching Children and Young People

This module will cover the basic requirements for coaching children and young people. This module will combine the roles and responsibilities of keeping young people safe and engaged as well as some top tips from the Root family and our experienced R66T coaches.

This module covers the basics needed for organising, planning and delivering coaching sessions.

Coaching the basic Techniques

This module will provide you with the basic technical requirements for a coach to use when coaching their junior teams.

This module will provide you with a number of activities for coaches to use in their sessions, these activities combine the technical development from the previous module with engaging skill-specific activities.
